Rob joined Duke Holzman in 2001, along with Dennis Cleary and Gary Kanaley, after the dissolution of their previous firm, Falk & Siemer. The move dramatically altered Rob’s career path; since joining Duke Holzman, his practice has flourished and he has found his true calling. Rob’s passion, enthusiasm and success stem from a simple truth: he absolutely loves what he does.
With a B.S. in Business Administration, an M.B.A. with a concentration in finance, robust practice in assisting clients with buying and selling businesses, and nearly twenty years of practicing law, Rob’s approach is informed by a rich appreciation for business, tax implications and a deep understanding of negotiation, from both the buy and sell side. He focuses his practice exclusively on corporate and business matters, working with clients in acquisition or divestiture mode who value building wealth and succession planning. His clients include publicly traded companies, family owned businesses, domestic and international companies and private equity firms, including some of Western New York’s most active and successful entrepreneurs.
Rob advises on all aspects of corporate matters, including business deals and merger and acquisition transactions, both domestically and internationally. He provides guidance on financing, organizational structure, operations, capitalization matters, expansion, distributions and contract negotiation.
His experience includes:
- $287M sale of European pharmaceutical packaging equipment manufacturer (47 companies located in 17 countries) to a US publicly traded company
- $45M sale of local medical device manufacturer to a domestic private equity group
- $64M sale of bar code scanning manufacturer to a UK publicly traded company
