Steven Klutkowski

“My goal is to fully understand the client’s situation and objective in seeking legal counsel, and to devise a strategy with the client to accomplish that objective using the most direct and efficient means available.”

Steven joined Duke Holzman in March 2015. Steven has a wealth of commercial and appellate practice experience and uses his expertise to obtain the best results possible for the firm’s clients.

In 2005, Steven graduated third in his class from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was a member of Seton Hall Law Review and the recipient of several merit based scholarships. After graduation, Steven clerked for Justice Virginia Long of the New Jersey Supreme Court—New Jersey’s highest appellate court.

After his clerkship, Steven worked as an associate at two Manhattan, New York, law firms focusing on complex commercial litigation, including class action cases, antitrust matters, and corporate insurance coverage disputes. In 2011, Steven left private practice to work for the New Jersey Supreme Court. In that position, Steven acted as an advisor to New Jersey’s highest court on a wide array of civil, criminal, and attorney ethics matters. That role exposed Steven to various areas of substantive law and allowed him to develop a broad understanding of appellate strategy, practice, and procedure.

In addition, Steven has spent time in India training Indian attorneys in U.S. law in connection with a legal outsourcing project, and has worked on international arbitrations based in England and Bermuda.
