Senior Partner
Jim Gresens is a Senior Partner in the firm. He received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, magna cum laude, and was admitted to the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society. He graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, magna cum laude, and was the Managing Editor of the Buffalo Law Review. Jim is a seasoned litigator with special expertise in the construction industry.
He serves as counsel to the New York General Building Contractors. Jim has also represented a myriad of other types of clients in all kinds of business disputes. He has tried many commercial disputes as well as a few white-collar criminal cases to verdict. Many of his cases have resulted in awards in excess of a million dollars for his clients. He won a jury verdict in Vermont Federal Court for $4.75M which was paid in full. He is admitted to practice in the New York State courts, and all other federal courts in New York. Jim is also an adjunct professor of Law at the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, where he teaches a course on civil procedure to senior law students.
